still not sure what this bug is.
anyway, I've added the possibility to not have any effect on auto-hiding, which will prevent from using framebuffer on the dock (some applets might use it on their icon though). This seems to be a source of trouble with some drivers.
I'll mark this bug as fixed then.
For any problem with the cairo backend, thanks to open a new topic (a small video and the theme used would help).

If I select on indicator a bild instead of frame, the error reproduces itself. Maybe you should try.
Or if i mess with the colors of the frame:e.g. if i try to make the frame invisable.
