Thanks for a great tool
I am using workspaces/viewports to group similar work tasks/windows/etc. together, using the nice CompizConfigManager tools to provide separate background images on each workspace, to enhance the user experience with instant visual association with the topic of the actual workspace. Works wonderfully, especially along with the "placing windows" rules that can further automate which Viewport/workspace each window class or type or application is opened in.
The piece that is missing seems a highly relevant and obvious next step for tools like Cairo-Dock:
- when entering each workspace, I would like to have one set of "global" shortcuts (as we have now), and another set/group that lets us place shortcuts/launchers, etc. that should ONLY be shown when on that particular workspace/viewport.
(Semi-related: - a search function with separate configurable parametres 'per workspace' would also be a logical next step, I think.)
If this is possible already, I would be very happy about any tips on how to get that working.
(PS. I rarely use software that are not downloadable through the main repositories, but will be interested in any relevant tip, just for my knowledge.)
Regards,
