I just applied the update to 3.4 and it broke my Applications menu - the background has gone a horrible dark gradient from black to almost black which means I cannot now read my applications menu. The text is still there but because it's black on a black background it is illegible. In settings, I tried choosing a decoration theme for this applet but that had no effect whatsover - it seems that none of the themes exist.
My version of Cairo-Dock is 3.4.0. My GNU/Linux distribution is Debian Stable, using OpenGL, with Window manager Compiz, and Desktop Environment is XFCE
Thanks & regards! |

This is a new feature which might have cause you some disagreament. You can now edit those into the setting style in the advance section. |

Thank you taiebot65! As you suggested, I could change this in Cairo Dock > Configure > Appearance > Style. I can now see the menus again |

I think I have the same problem. I have always used the Advanced config menus.
After upgrading to 3.4.0 my application menus were dark text on a dark background, as described.
Using the "dialogue boxes and menus" configuration panel, I can change the colors of the menus (background and outline) , but the program does not respect the text color setting.
No matter what color I select, the text color is black. However, the little sub-menu arrows change color to the selected color.
Also. When I set a custom font or size for text, it is ignored. the font always stays default Sans 11.
Thanks for a great launcher program. |

Hello,
You maybe have this problem because the dock is using font/colors from GTK settings. Can you check that? |

Can you check if the font/colors are the same as the ones used in menu of other GTK applications? (e.g. Gedit, Nautilus, etc.) |
