Hi - first of all thanks to the devs and the community for such a great tool!
I wanted to run a more up-to-date version, so installed via cairo-dock_bzr.sh
Some errors have been detected during the installation. Please keep a copy of the file 'log.txt' and report the bug on our forum in the section "Version BZR"
ElementaryOS 0.2 (luna) 64-bit
- based on Ubuntu LTS 12.04, gnome 3.4.22, kernel 3.4.0

I'm particularly interested in cairo-desklet - it seems the config options to change the image doesn't work, nor adjusting the size?

Hello,
It's strange According to your log.txt file, there is no error. Except maybe a problem with rubygem but it's not a big deal (just used by one 'third party' applet)
Do you have some problems when launching cairo-dock?
I'm particularly interested in cairo-desklet - it seems the config options to change the image doesn't work, nor adjusting the size? Yes, you're right, I confirm this bug! |

Well good I guess then, thanks. But aren't any of these:
http://pastebin.com/6HwBfKm2
significant?
It's true launching 'blind' I haven't noticed problems.
Is there a way to assign <Super><space> to the GMenu desklet?
Or a command to launch GMenu from the wm? |

But aren't any of these significant? It's not important: just some warnings due to a migration to this latest version and some warnings linked to your video drivers which are not supporting some options but it's not important
Is there a way to assign <Super><space> to the GMenu desklet? Yes, you can use the 'Grab' option (or: <Super>space)
Or a command to launch GMenu from the wm? Yes it's possible to launch cairo-desklet but it's not possible to open the menu except by using a shortkey. |

Thanks, good to know

Yes, you can use the 'Grab' option (or: <Super>space)
Of course I'd tried those first, no go, Grab doesn't work, nor just manually entering the string (I assume the ++ characters you gave are not to be taken literally.)
Using dconf/gconf I've disabled the "main panel" launch using <Super>space, I assume some leftover artifact from the wm/de keybinding facilities is "blocking" CD's.
Or a command to launch GMenu from the wm?
Yes it's possible to launch cairo-desklet but it's not possible to open the menu except by using a shortkey.
I'm not going to use cairo-desklet with that unconfigurable huge stock icon, just using GMenu within the full Cairo-Dock.
I imagine such a feature-request - for CLI-control over CD items - has already been logged. . . |

I imagine such a feature-request - for CLI-control over CD items - has already been logged. . . If you're using GMenu with Cairo-Dock, a new feature could maybe be added to DBus plugin to simulate a click on an icon. But it's already possible to control the dock via DBus (but it's not possible to simulate a click): Control your dock with DBus |
