Is there anyway to get the dock to multi task?
E.g. if I have the terminal app open then NOTHING else will work until I close it. You should be able to have more than one active at a time. |

Of course it's the default behaviour. If it's not, it means there is a bug and if there is a bug, please give us more details about this bug, your system and your version of Cairo-Dock |

OK Mint 16 RC 64 bit running Mate.
CD Version 3.3.1
I have several applets installed (you want a theme?) split across 2 screens, main dock in LH screen at top.
Definitely shows in:
System/terminal applet
Open a terminal and NOTHING else can be accessed until the terminal window is closed
It seems to be a bug in terminal, just checked with another applet.
Theme as a tar.gz https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1458849/my%20test.tar.gz |

OK Just registered.
Updated to 3.3.2 from the ppa.
Same issue. Terminal hogs the dock when open.
This is a pic of the top dock with the terminal open, the mouse is on the weather which should be open

Ok, it's the Terminal applet, it's normal that it "freezes" the dock
It's an applet, it's not a launcher for the 'Gnome-terminal'. If you want a launcher for it, simply drag the launcher from the applications menu and drop it into the dock |

I am comparing it to awn, which is what I used to use, the terminal app didn't hog the dock there, but there was an option to autohide it if it lost focus, could this be added to the terminal?
The terminal on awn was similar, it could open a terminal in the dock or on middle click launch a "real" terminal. So I am used to docked terminals. |

but there was an option to autohide it if it lost focus, could this be added to the terminal? Maybe but the main idea is to keep it on the top of the screen until you click on its icon to hide it.
Maybe an option can be added but I'm not sure that it will be easy to do.
@fabounet: any idea?
on middle click launch a "real" terminal It's a good idea, I'm going to add a task |

I really dislike the way it is "allways on top" it should hide when I select another window over it. I don't mind it staying open but the on top I dislike. |

Your "launch a terminal on middle click" update is launching xterm not the preset one in the prefs.
Could you update it to use the preferred one? |
