(Message added on the task #317)

As I described in the topic the original reporter of this bug does not have an actual cpu temperature in the sensors output

The nouveau-pci-0100 is the temperature of the GPU (graphics processor).

The k10temp-pci-00c3, on some systems, is a relative temperature (explaination found here https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/hwmon/k10temp at the bottom of the page) and is not an actual temperature.

There is a problem with the cpu temperature on the Icon as I describe in the topic thread and I also provide a solution.

@briaw: thank you for having opened this task and your analyse of this problem. (and sorry for the very long delay...)
So do you think that we have to skip all sensors with a name starting with k10temp?

@fabounet: why do we have a fCpuTempPercent variable? Is it compared to the max value?

Ok, about the first problem (the value displayed in the label was not correct), I found what was wrong, thanks to brianw for its analyse
It's now fixed in the rev 3072

I am having this issue as well. The temperature is always off by about 10 degrees C. Here is the current temp according to the applet:

Here is my output from sensors:
andy-Peppermint ~ $ sensors
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +61.0°C (crit = +103.0°C)

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Physical id 0: +61.0°C (high = +86.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 0: +59.0°C (high = +86.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 1: +61.0°C (high = +86.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

asus-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
temp1: +61.0°C

I am running Cairo-Dock 3.3.2 and System Monitor 1.0.13

Based on your temp of 61 and high of 86 you are probably seeing around 71. What you are seeing is a percentage as matttbe stated.

According to matttbe the fix is in but I assume will need time to work through the process of integration. If you update through the weekly ppa you will probably see a fix much faster than through your distributions packages.

Something to note is that if your high temp is 100 the percent and the actual temperature should be the same (after all percent is based on 100%)

Yes, it appears to have been fixed with the last weekly update. Thanks matttbe and everyone else
