The dock autohides (under visibility, I've selected "keep the dock hidden" and it's called back when I "hit the screen border") but when there are full-screen windows open, the dock will not show. I understand this is probably how it's meant to be, but I wondering whether a way to make it auto-show even when full-screen windows are open.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Currently with X11, a fullscreen application is always above all other windows and I think it's not possible to know if the mouse's pointer hits the screen border...
Or maybe by using a shortkey: ww_page.php?p=Tip%20and%20Tricks&lang=en#3-A%20shortcut%20to%20show/hide%20the%20dock

it is possible, but the window will just stay on top of anything, including the dock
that's the normal behavior
