then everything should be asynchronous, but that's not impossible, does it occur with another player ? Yes except when you do a right click on the applet and the player is freezing  |

is it the player that is freezing ? Yes and the dock is waiting for an anwser. If I kill the player, the dock will stop freezing. |

Sorry to be so long getting back to this ...
Have not had much time to test (my only machine as of the moment), and still have not replicated the problem.
I will say I have gone ... what ... 13 days without "musicPlayer" in the dock and had no sign of a lock-up.
Have had some intermittent short lived freeze-ups (max. 60 secs), just after login, but I that seems to have something to do with "Shortcuts" finding all devices (LVM, etc. or they are both symptoms of the same problem).
Should have some time in the next couple of days to just play with "musicPlayer" applet and see if I can cause a lock-up. |
