Ubuntu 11.10
Gnome3
I have the Notification Area docked on the top of the screen. For some reason it wont save any changes I make to it in the dock editor. If I change the Icon of the Notification Area applet, it saves the filename and changes it but when I reboot it defaults back to the original icon (but the icon file is still set in the editor for my custom icon).
It also doesn't save visibility settings for the top dock. I want it below all the time, but it resets to default.
I've got the proper permissions set for the .config/ so it should be saving there. Any idea? I could provide a screenshot or desktop video if I need to.
Thanks in advance. |

Yes, this is strange
Maybe only one file doesn't have write permissions? What's the output of this command launched from a terminal? ls -l ~/.config/cairo-dock/current_theme/ |

I actually had to go into /usr/share/cairo-dock and change the notification PNG file to what I wanted manually. It must be saving it, because the file name stays in the custom image box, but for some reason until I hit "apply" after rebooting it wont change it. It will always use the default until I hit "apply".
Also, every time I hit apply it will double the items in the sub-dock. I'm not sure if this is a known issue or not. |

thanks for reporting this (it's probably a bug)
I open a task for it. |
