I am giving lubuntu a shot and have installed Cairo. On my netbook everything looks good. But, I can't drag a desktop icon to the dock. If I launch an app and then right click on the Cairo icon for the app there should be a "Make a launcher" option.
However, there is not. Am I not configuring something?
So, I would like to drag and drop a desktop launcher to the dock or Make a Launcher for something already running. |

Hello,
It's not due to the dock but due to LXDE menu or something else in LXDE.
But did you try with GMenu (applications menu) applet of Cairo-Dock? I think it works.
PS: for Shortcuts applet, I think it's better to launch the dock with this command |

Maybe you locked the dock configuration.
Right click to bring the menu, in the Cairo-Dock submenu, you should see "Lock Icons" and "Lock Dock". If one of those is activated, it will prevent you to change your icons settings. So you have to click them until they are both unlocked (should show the option to lock).
@matttbe and fabounet : don't you think those options could be easier to understand and explain if they use a checkbox with a constant text ? |
