- The version of Cairo-Dock ('cairo-dock -v' in a terminal). 2.3.0
- Your GNU/Linux distribution (Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.). Linux Mint Debian XFCE4
- Or you using OpenGL or not. I don't know.
- Your Window manager (Compiz, Metacity, Kwin, Openbox, etc.). XFCE4, I think.
- Your Desktop Environment (Gnome, KDE, XFCE, etc.) XFCE4
I love Firefox, but boy, does it eat the RAM! So I installed Surf, a small browser that you have to tell the URL on the command line. I have a launcher for "surf http://pandora.com" and one for "surf http://mail.google.com". I've assigned them different icons, which show in the Internet sub-dock, but in the task bar gadget, they both use the icon assigned to the Pandora launcher.
Not a major bug, but there it is.

do the launcher mix with the taskbar ? (ie, do they take an indicator when they are launched ?)
if not, then the icon in the taskbar will be the one of the surf program (probably surf.png) |

I'm not sure what you're asking. I gave the two launchers icons that reflect their site, a radio for Pandora and an envelope for Gmail. So I'm not using the Surf icon at all. The different icons are present in the Internet sub-dock, but in the taskbar, both running programs show the Pandora (radio) icon.

ok I see, I guess surf is able to change its icon depending on which site it is displaying.
does the order in which you launch the surf windows matter ? |

I think the order matters, but I'm in another system right now and can't check. It's a minor nuisance, so I'm ready to let it go.
Thanks for the conversation.
