Hello,
I think it depends of your local (the $LANG variable: $ echo $LANG).
I don't know if it's the good solution because with the FR language I can't show this AM/PM indicator but we don't use it here... |

I cant show the AM PM here either but it shows on the gnome panel clock and other places... I just dont' see a setting for it in the config

Isn't it possible to format the clock string to show/hide AM/PM in 12-hour format? Of course it's possible but I don't know if it's better to display the clock string depending of some options or of the local  |

If its indeed possible to format the clock string to have an option to hide AM/PM in 12h format,
then the 12h clock display will become bigger and readable esp. in a small panel similar to 24h format.
It's just like looking at the time on some kitchen appliance that don't display AM/PM.
Does formatting the clock string affect performance the way showing the 'Seconds' consume CPU power? |
