Hello there,
I tried to customize icons for the compiz icon applet. Changing the main icon is not a problem, i just replaced the compiz.svg file of current theme icons folder.
When trying to change the first sub-dock's icon "compiz settings", i went to the config file in the /current_theme/plug-ins/ and filled in the name of the icon i created for the purpose i.e. "compiz-settings.svg". The funny thing though is that when reloading the applet, the config file is auto-edited and removes the .svg extension, so it reads "compiz-settings". Then of course, Cairo-Dock is unable to find the compiz-settings icon because the extension is lacking.
The work around is to rename the file without an extension, then it finds the icon. But that isn't consistent and odd.
Is this a bug or something i am not doing right?
Why is it the applet's configuration does not provide a space to customize the icons?
Thanks.

hmm, there is a bunch of text fields in the end of the applet's config, I think they work. |

Yes there is. This is what i meant here above. But it seems the text i entered "compiz-settings.svg" is then changed into "compiz-settings" which causes CD to miss the icon in the theme.
What i don't understand is why does the text field changes by itself? |

PS: The problem does not seem to occur again. I don't know what happened yesterday. |
