This is a bug with the option "size of callback zone" in behaviour > visibility.
On my theme I have just the icons for each window. It is set to take up the whole width of the screen. When I hover over the sides of the screen where there are no icons, the dock pops up. When I move the mouse the dock disappears. It should stay up so that I can go to the icons I want.
To emulate this, either download my theme below or follow these instructions
Please save your current theme.
1. change the theme to "Azur" and tick the boxes for using the theme's behaviour.
2. go into configure(advanced mode) > behaviour > visibility
3. set "Visibility" to "Automatically hide the dock"
4. Tick "stretch the dock to always fill the screen"
5. set "Size of the callback zone" to 1600 x 20
You can get my theme here. To see if it works on yours or not.

Notice that when you put the mouse to the bottom right, the bar pops up, but will disappear when you move the mouse. You have to lift the mouse up and down over the icons. It can be tricky when you only have 2 icons. |

I forgot to mention a side effect of this bug. When the bar hides due to the bug, you can still use the dock. I can click where icons would be, they are just invisible. You can also right click anywhere on the bottom and get to the cairo-dock menu. |

Hello,
I don't have this problem. But in 'Position' module, you've enable Xinemara option with the 4th monitor (n°3).
What's your CD version (cairo-dock -v), your distribution (Debian, Ubuntu,...), your DE (Gnome, KDE,...) and your WM (Compiz, Kwin,...)? |

ok I see, when you're on the sides, the dock considers that you're out of the dock (since you're nto inside the icons) and then hides the dock.
I'll try to find a solution for it, thanks to have report this bug. |

Thanks. That was really quick.
Not sure if you still need it.
Version: 2.1.3-8
Dist: Ubuntu Karmic
DE: Gnome
WM: Compiz
I didn't know that xinerama was enabled. I have now disabled it and there is no difference. I used another theme as a base for mine. |
