Next release of kernel (.32) will disable by default kms, and radeon code for this feature is unstable yet, so the devs of my distro (and I think of many others too) will not enable it. Now I'm trying to find out which options of the radeon driver kms enabled to get the dock work well. I enabled dri2 by xorg.conf, but this is not enough, I have flickering and black background yet. Any help?

I really don't know if we can help you about your drivers' bug .

I think the best thing to do is to report this bug on FreeDesktop ! We've already done that with success (it's there that the Xorg has explained to us to use KMS and to change some OpenGL functions) : https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23386
Of course, you can open a new bug report and post the link here if you need help .

I think this is not a bug, cause with kms enabled, the dock was working well. I think I just need to know the correct option to enable for my driver.
This error I get, was mentioned in the bug tracking you posted

OK, just two minutes ago I chatted with DRI devs.
Without kms is not possible to activate DRI2, so cairo-dock in OpenGL works really bad. I switch to cairo backend 'til kms become the default again.
Thanks for the interest.

'til kms become the default again.
I hope it will be possible to launch Cairo-Dock with OpenGL and an ATI card with this kernel ! Because this kernel will be used for the next stable release of Ubuntu (a LTS release !), the next stable version of Debian and other...
