Note: this article is a translation. You can find its original version written by Fabounet himself here

Pronounce "moolti-dock", the same was beautiful Leeloo says it in The 5th Element

So from now on you can have several root docks at the same time (well it is not really new but now you can insert applets) and place where ever you want to!

There is a mini config file for each of these dock which will allow you to configure each docks with it own specific parameter if needed.

To create a root dock
  • Edit a launcher or an applet and assign it to a new dock by choosing a name that doesn't exist yet (and which will preferably never exist or it would become a sub-docks)

  • A new dock will appear at the bottom of the screen (25 pixel from the edge of the screen).

  • To populate your new dock just do the same with the other icones.

To configure the dock

  • Right click -> Cairo-Dock -> just below Configure

Have fun seeding your desktop full of Cairo-Docks

Wow. cool post. I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real hard work to make a great article… but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though. common rail
