Bonjour...ciao a tutti.. hello all,
I didn't get much responce to the previous post about themes so let me ask it in a different way.
What is the best way to save a theme so that is can be installed by another person?
So far I am running into difficulty with this. Creating the icons are not problem at all but creating launchers that link to the icons without a user path is difficult.
also is there a way to use one of the themes , not compiled, replacing icons and launchers in that directory , renaming it, changing author etc .?

For the theme neon, i built it like i would have done for myself (icons in directory + lauchers with these icons) then i saved it and packed it.
There're some tips i don't know though.
A wiki topic is a great idea !
ps : i'm waiting for your themes they seem to be great ! |

Hey guys,
Thanks paradoxx.zero.
i would like these to be uploaded and used since I have three completed themes but the launchers still are directed to a path on my system unlike the themes that are default installable in cairo dock.
This seem to be the big issue for me. Although it may be a coding matter at which point a wiki may be the only solution since it would require a great deal of info to explain the coding of a theme for use in cairo dock.
what is puzzling for me is that I had a couple people test the same package same theme one on ubuntu the other on gentoo and the ubuntu one worked fine after he changed permisson but the one on gentoo of course had no icons showing even though they were in the theme directory.
But yeah I think a better explanaiton would be nice. I would like these themes to be reviewed and if deemed nice enough to be included.
I also dont want to impose on any of the people who have done themes already.
