The icons exhibit an overexposure effect, however, with the Cairo backend, everything's fine.
I installed Cairo-dock from Ubuntu apt-get repository.
Cairo-dock: 3.4.1, GNOME: 3.14.4, OpenGL: 4.5.0, NVIDIA: 346.59
I have just tried Cairodock so I can't tell whether older versions work.
The problem is not due to suspension.

Output from the terminal:

cairo_dock_create_surface_from_image_simple: assertion 'cImageFile != NULL' failed
Cairo-Dock - Launcher API Daemon is already running (19891)
_cd_find_volume_name_from_drive_name: assertion 'pDrive != NULL' failed

Thanks for the report, that's a strange behavior and I'd tend to blame the video drivers.

Do you have any other use of your 3D drivers ? (games, or advanced soft)
