Info: Cairo-Dock 3.4.0, Ubuntu 14.04.3, OpenGL unknown (how can I check?), Compiz, Gnome
I recently upgraded Ubuntu from 14.04 to 14.04.3. Ever since then I have experienced some weird behavior of Cairo-Dock.
- It does not automatically launch after log-in; instead I had to add a start application entry for it (the same for Compiz).
- What is worse, I cannot type in text into to selection field in the application menu (Ctrl+F1).
- If I simply open the menu and type, each letter is repeated twice ("mmppllaayyeerr" instead of "mplayer").
- ''Sometimes'', if the mouse pointer is inside the menu, I can type a few letters normally. For instance, I just had it on Accessories and then could type the letter a normally. But the next letters would be doubled again.
- That behavior does not seem consistent; upon trying to reproduce, I could not type any letter at all.
Anybody with similar trouble or even a solution?
Don't know if this is related: upon launching CD manually, I get the following errors repeatedly on the console.

As mysteriously as it had come, the problem went away by itself. I had had version 3.4.0 before but still CD showed up in the upgrades and now it is working as expected. This little issue showed me how much I depend on CD and I want to felicitate the developers for this extremely fine piece of software. As I had said before, it is part of the standard installation that I recommend to any user.
The errors upon manual launching still show up but at a second glance they seem to point to temperature sensors and not, as I interpreted it first, to temporary input. So this most likely is not related to CD at all.
Cheers!
