Hello:
I installed Cairo-Dock a few days a go and am really liking it. I still maintain a couple of XFCE panels to do things that Cairo-Dock doesn't do, but all in all this dock is a big improvement over the way I used to do things!
System information is as follows:
Cairo Dock version 3.3.99.beta1.2.really.3.3.2-0ubuntu2.1
XFCE in Xubuntu Trusty Tahr
No OpenGL
Compton window manager
I have my main dock icons configured to a size of 40 by 40, with a spacing of 5, and with no zoom. I have several sub-docks, rendered with images. When I hover the mouse cursor over a sub-dock, the icons in it are larger than those in the main dock, and they get bigger still when I move the mouse cursor over them. I haven't been able to find a way to make them smaller and to disable the zoom effect. It seems that the configuration of icon size and zooming only apply to the main dock, not to sub-docks. Is there a way to configure the size and zoom behaviour of ALL icons, or to make them inherit the properties of the main dock? (I don't mind editing files if necessary).
Thanks! |

Hi
The zoom may depend on the view used for the dock.
You won't have zooms for a panel view.
To make icons smaller, IIRC only the panel view has a %ratio size option, so for other modes, you'd have to edit each icon size.
Edit: didn't understood you talked about subdocks, you may have to look at settings for the "slide" view (can't check now but I think it has ratio and zoom options) |

Thanks! The Slide View settings are exactly what I'm looking for.
PS I also love the ability to assign a custom icon for currently opened applications. |
