Hello!
First thank you for so great product!
The Mac-style dock is much better than taskbar, and you've done good job!
I installed KDE and just designed my own desktop like my Mac, and it is much better!
That's I call the desktop of future, where you can configure any thing!
But it is not so convenient to show all windows of application, when clicking on icon. I always have many chromium windows opened, and when I click to it's icon (grouping enabled), I always need to select the window. On Mac it opens last used window, and then you can switch it with ALT+`.
It is done in smoothtasks plasma widget.
I know it's easy to do, but I need it very much! I think many people who switched from Mac (or even used) will need this very useful feature.
Also is it possible to show in dock apps only from this screen?
Thanks! |

Hello. This will not solve your issue but I have a suggestion that may help for now. When you hover over the grouped windows you can scroll your mouse wheel and it will bring one of the windows forward (don't think the last one but one of them). You may want to change the action of the middle click if you are like me and accidentally press the mouse wheel when scrolling which will close all the windows in the group.

In the advanced configuration mode under the Taskbar configuration you can set the "Only show applications on current desktop". This is where you would change the action on middle click as well. You can also set it so that only minimized windows are shown if you wish. |

I found a more useful workaround. Need to disable "Present windows preview" in taskbar, and then just click on the icon twice! First click will show list of windows in subdock, and the second click will open last window!
Every time I am discovering new features
The scroll on icon is also cool!!!
About the desktop... Desktop and screen are not the same. I have 4 desktops and 2 screens. Desktop is when you switch it with CTRL+F1,F2, etc. Screen is physical display. The standard plasma taskbar have 2 options: only from current desktop, and only from current screen.
I just have other windows opened in second screen and don't want them to appear in dock, because second screen has own taskbar.
Thanks! |
