I don't see an option to force the dock to stretch 100% of the screen. I'd like this regardless of how many icons are sitting on the bar. I have it stretched along the left side of my window with the reserved space option, but there are some empty areas of the desktop showing through. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

That's possible :
I'm no sure about the exact word in english version but go in background module in the config panel (advanced mode) and select "stretch the dock in all the screen" option.
