I personnaly think the Trash is quite a minor applet, but I can't speak for others Yep, not easy... I was speaking with Tontof and he thinks that it's maybe better to replace the desklet by Trash's desklet: http://tontof.net/index.php?1376635330#12
I think the simple theme should be thought to complete an existing environment that doesn't already have a dock (Gnome/KDE/XFCE), so let's see what is not already present by default in most panels Unity has a trash icon but in the dock. I think GNOME-Shell and KDE panel doesn't have one. XFCE Panel doesn't have a trash icon but there is an icon on the desktop I think.
fabounet : Should we change the background/view why ? Because maybe it's time to change
taiebot65 : Background view could be refresh i do not like the rounded corner but i think this is more a personal taste.
Yes, maybe with no rounded corners.
I think I like it this way (with "Stars") Yes but I think it's "too much". There is already an animation, no need to add an effect. Stars is a "light" effect but it adds to much "bling-bling"
(and it's maybe not so trendy )
but from what i remember i always remove the left applet not attached to the dock (Switcher) I think it's better to place it on the dock but it's nice to also show that we can put applets in desklet mode
A good applet to detach is the music applet i think it really shows off the capabilities of cairo-dock. Yes but this applet needs to be "connected" to the right media player first
I don't know
(or maybe he should be automatically connected to the first media player which supports MPRIS2?)
The effect well i am ok with this Do you mean that you're ok to remove it or to keep it? |
