Hello,
I have installed Cairo-Dock under LXDE on OpenSuse Tumbleweed. The Desklets Shortcuts and Quickbrowser don't open the File manager PCManFM. "Shortcuts" doesn't find any shortcuts set in PCManFM. And klicking on "open this folder" in "Quick Browser" has no effect. Nothing happens...
Please help me!

Neither

has any effect...
Do you have any other suggestions?
Micha
Edit: It's the same problem when I run gnome instead of lxde! |

Have you got gvfs installed on your system.
Cairo-dock is using gvfs so you should check if its installed. |

Yes, it's installed (gvfs-1.16.1-2.1.i586)

I think it's a problem if gvfs being not found
is it running ?
are there some messages in the terminal ?
about the shortcuts, the dock uses the ones listed in ~/.gtk-bookmarks |

I have installed cairo-dock from the repository http://packman.inode.at/suse/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/
Here are the messages when I start cairo-dock in the terminal:
> cairo-dock

How can I check, if gvfs is running? The command gvfs doesn't work:
If 'gvfs' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this:
cnf gvfs
The file ~/.gtk-bookmarks exists and there are my bookmarks to find...
I think I will try to re-install my OpenSuse installation, because there are some other problems, too. Perhaps than it will be better!? |

you can check that with:
is your ~/.gtk-bookmarks readable ? (ls -l ~/.gtk-bookmarks)
is the option to list bookmarks enabled in the Shortcuts applet ?
No module named CDBashApplet
seems like a problem in the package (the Bash interface is missing, and probably also the Python interface as well)
no link with the current problem, but third-party applets won't work |

Thanks for your help.
Meanwhile I have installed LinuxMint Cinnamon. And there I don't have any problems with cairo-dock! So it's solved for me...

Well, I had the same problem with no folder pop-up box and missing window for shortcuts on OpenSuse 13.1 KDE. It turned out that the culprit was a missing package: "gnome-integration". After installation everything worked like a charm. |

Feel free to report this problem to the maintainers of these Cairo-Dock packages on OpenSUSE |
