Hi,
I'm using the Note-Taking applet, and I find annoying that each time I middle-click it, it creates a new note, EVEN IF I DON'T WRITE ANYTHING ON IT. I find more logical to "cancel" the creation if I close the "new-note pop-up" without really writing anything on the subjet nor content (well, the subject is auto-filled with current date).
Also, I will love a quicker way to delete notes... perhaps pressing "delete" when hovering a note?
Hope this makes sense

Hi,
there is an option to not create a new note on middle-click, and another to delete a note without asking confirmation
does it help ? |

Sorry, didn't read the response till now.
It does not help. Wouldn't it be easier if the note gets auto-deleted if you didn't write anything? because you didn't write even the title, it's auto-generated at first! It's ilogical to save that note. Because it isn't something the user wanted to save, it's empty. That's my point.
There's an option to "automatically name a new note?" so that behaviour I'm refering to improves, as you have to manually name the note for it to to be saved. The only bit I don't like about this is that this dialog to name the note does not dissapear automatically when clicking outside. You have to point and click the "X" if you want to cancel. Anyway, it's a improvement over default settings. |

I see your point, however it's probably rare to create a note not on purpose, isn't it ? |

I used to create a few from time to time, that's why I started the thread. You know, you click, then switch to another thing, and then click again. However, with "auto name a new note?" off this gets minimized and I guess it's not an issue anymore.
Keep up the good job, guys. |
