Hi guys, i am new to linux. I am running linux 14 and cairo dock is running great but 1 thing. Everytime I open a window, when I go to the dock, it comes up but it comes with a background. I is not the black bar but it takes the desktop background and makes a rectangle around it. I am using compiz with it to.
Bassically, just think of it as this: when there is a window open, i move my mouse to go to the dock (dock has autohide). When the dock comes up, a big rectangle is around the perimiter on top of the window. The rectangle is not a black box but it is the picture of my desktop background.
Hopefully you understand my situation (i would have posted a picture but i could not figure out how to post it)
Thanks guys! |

I have seen similar problems when the OpenGL implementation is not quite correct. Have you tried disabling compositing? Don't know what the key combination is in Compiz, but on KDE I press Alt-Shift-F12, if this is the issue then you may need to find more up-to-date OpenGL drivers for your video card. |

I think you're using the fake transparency.
you should probably disable it, open the configuration, switch to advanced mode, then go to 'System' and disable the option. |
