I just installed Cairo-Dock in Ubuntu 12.10 and I love it. However, the weather indicator did not find New York City, which is where I live. Where/how do I find the code for New York City?

I tried and I can obtain the code for New York City on my laptop (12.04). It's USNY0996 (that appear in a menu after write "new york" and select "enter").
Are you sure that didn't work for you ?

Mattbe, if by ENABLING the applet you mean having its check box checked in the configuration dialog-- it is enabled. |

Maybe something wrong with IPv4/IPv6? Can you force the use of IPv4? => in the advanced mode of the config panel / System module / Internet Connexion. (And can you also increase the timeout?) |

except for that, does the applet just works ?
to get the code of the city, you have to enter its name, press enter, then a short menu should appear with a list of all cities having this name.
Select the one you want and press "apply" to apply the changes. |
