Hello all,
I used <Alt>+<F2> intensively under Gnome desktops. Now I start to get used
to <Ctrl>+<F2> with cairo dock. One feature seems to miss, though, or at least
I didn't find how to achieve this:
- How can I get automatic input focus in the field that opens with <Ctrl>+<F2>?
Usually, I have at least one or more windows open. Under gnome I could press
<Alt>+<F2> and immediately enter the command I wished. Under cairo dock,
I first have to move the mouse and then click into the command field,
before I can enter the command I wished.
Thanks for any hint,

by the way, you can change the shortcut to open the quick-launcher
we set it to <Ctrl>+<F2> to avoid conflict with the Gnome's shortcut.
Now, the dialog should take the focus, except if the Window Manager prevents it
if you're using Compiz, try to set the "focus prevention level" to 0 through the ccsm |

Great hint - I had never considered that parameter to be responsible
Thanks a lot! |
