Upgraded to glx-dock 3.0.2 and have two problems with it :-
1. The powermanager is not displaying correctly - detach it as desklet does not help.
2. The notification-old is also not displayed correctly - detach it as desklet managed to workaround the problem.
Btw I am using intel graphics. |

Hello,
What did you mean by "[they are] not displaying correctly"? Can you give us a link to a screenshot?
Can you maybe test the current development version (e.g. by adding our 'Weekly ppa')? |

I think the 3.0.2 should work better than the current beta (well, I really hope )
did you try without opengl (cairo-dock -c) ?
did you set a gauge theme for the powermanager applet ?
can we have the debug outputs ? (cairo-dock -l debug)
about the old notification area, it's indeed better to use it detached from the dock, and place it anywhere in a corner above other windows. |

I think the 3.0.2 should work better than the current beta (well, I really hope ) No because I fixed a few bugs with our data renderers (gauge, graph, progress-bar) if the dock was compiled with GCC 4.7 |

Did not managed to try the ppa, the ppa I got seems to be older than 3.0.2, got some problem with dependencies.
No difference with cairo-dock -c. |

What's your distribution and its version? Are you using Debian? Can you check with this command if the dock has been compiled with GCC 4.7?strings -a /usr/bin/cairo-dock | grep -i gcc
If yes and as I said, there was a bug in the 3.0 version if you're using data renderer (gauge (or graph), e.g. with powermanager, system monitor, netspeed, etc.) and the dock compiled with GCC 4.7.
But if you're not using Ubuntu, I guess the only solution is to compiled the development version of the dock by yourself (or you can also wait for the next stable version ). If you're using Debian, you can use a script (here) or please have a look to our wiki (here) |
