And as we can see on this screencast, the position of the dock is not fixed when we move the mouse inside the dock:
At the beginning, there is a jump because the window is resized and then, the dock is not fixed when the mouse is on the middle of the dock |

Yesterday I tested the dock with a second screen and the default view and... Everything works fine
No jump, no problem with the callback zone, etc. (I forgot to check if we can place the dock in both screens but I'm going to do that tonight!)
a constant size for the 3D view too? |

I forgot to mention: The problem here obviously is the alignment focussing on the left border of the dock instead of the center. |

Any chance to get rid of that problem? Does it occur to rarely to be considered? |

@Guest: how do you do exactly to reproduce this bug each time? |

Exactly as described in the thread. When the animation for icon removal is finished, whole dock jumps to the left for about a centimeter. |

@Guest: I'm not able to reproduce this bug.
Where is located your taskbar? Do you have this bug only when removing icons which are on left/right side? (only with the last one?)
What's your Window Manager? (Compiz?) |
