Is it possible the "Quick-Hide" and "Quick-Unhide" feature to be triggered with keyboard combination as well as existing possibility with mouse and pop-up menu ?

yep, see the Dbus interface:
http://www.glx-dock.org/ww_page.php?p=Control_your_dock_with_DBus&lang=en

it's made for cairo-dock 2.4, in your case you can use:

dbus-send --session --dest=org.cairodock.CairoDock /org/cairodock/CairoDock org.cairodock.CairoDock.ShowDock boolean:True

(or False to hide)

Hello,

You have to specify this command linked to a shortkey on the config panel of your wm (compiz, kwin, etc.)

Thanks. I did not figure out how to make the short cut with one keyboard combination, but successed with two short cuts one for hiding and one for unhide .

in the 2.4, the command allows you to toggle the visibility, so you can use the same shortkey
