Hello all. Been playing with Cairo Dock, and liking it, but confused about some things. Set up is fairly intuitive but could be better. At any rate, I'm looking for some advice about a few things.

1. I have the Notification Area, Old running on the desktop, away from my bottom bar. I'd like to put it in my top bar (top right of screen), but no matter what I tell it to do it stays in the upper L corner of the screen. I know I must be doing something wrong, but how do I get the thing to move to my top bar?

2. Speaking of my Top Bar, I created it to hold the power button, volume, wifi strength, etc. I'd like it to move ALL the way to the top right corner, but when I right click, go to Configure This Dock, click Top and move the slider all the way to the R, it still parks about a 1/2 " away from the R edge of the screen. How can I make it move over?

3. I want the Top Bar to have a no-border, transparent background look, as if the applets are floating on the screen. I've tried adjusting things every way I can think of but end up with a reddish-bordered oval. Is what I have in mind possible?

Aspire One D255E Ubuntu 10.10, Cairo 2.3.0. Thanks for any help you can give.

hmm, could you please provide a screenshot of the problems ?

about the 1st one, try moving the desklet with ALT+left-click

about the last one, did you go to the advanced mode in the configuration window ?
