Hi!
I'm using Cairo-Dock 2.2.0-4 on Xubuntu 10.10. When I click on the trash applet to open the folder, nothing happens. If I run cairo on a terminal, I get the following message:
warning : (/build/buildd/cairo-dock-plug-ins-2.2.0~4/gvfs-integration/cairo-dock-gio-vfs.c:cairo_dock_gio_vfs_launch_uri:984)
gnome_integration : couldn't launch 'trash:/' [Failed to execute child process "nautilus" (No such file or directory)]

xfce integration is checked in the configuration menu.
Thank you for your time!

in your file-manager, right-click on a folder, go to properties, and set "open with".

Apparently, there's no "open with" option in thunar for folders.
I'll keep looking for a way to change it, but why could it be that the Folders plugin opens thunar just fine and dustbin doesn't?

I'd say because dustbin opens trash:/, which is an URI, and not a regular path.
so probably gvfs (I think XFCE uses gvfs now) doesn't handle correctly URI.

It seems you're right. If I run:
xdg-open trash:/

it opens my web browser.
But the path to trash in thunar is trash:///. Could this have something to do?

OK, the problem is definitively on the gvfs side. If I run:
gvfs-open trash:/

I get the same error as in Cairo:
gvfs-open: trash:///: error launching application: Failed to execute child process "nautilus" (No such file or directory)

Here is how I solved it,

in a terminal type: gconftool --set --type=string /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/trash/command 'thunar %s'
