Hi,

I've tried to install cairo-dock on Gentoo, using your Guide at: http://www.glx-dock.org/ww_page.php?p=Paquet%20Gentoo&lang=en

Building fails with the following error message:

>>> Emerging (1 of 2) x11-misc/cairo-dock-9999 from desktop-effects

I think the problem is related to: http://www.glx-dock.org/bg_topic.php?t=4440 and the ebuild has to be updated.
I would appreciate, if you could do this.

Thank you,
Matthias

Hello,

Autoconf has been replaced by CMake. I already reported this "bug" to Gentoo maintainers on IRC but without any anwser... Can you reported it again? For more details, please look at end of this topic http://www.glx-dock.org/bg_topic.php?t=4722

Thx

Can you try without the OpenGL backend?
cairo-dock -c

This issues is caused because the desktop-effects overlay doesn't contain a recent version of cairo-dock...

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=295287

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391333

The amielke-overlay has more up-to-date ebuilds, which use CMAKE...

x11-misc/cairo-dock
x11-plugins/cairo-dock-plugins

(note that the 2nd one has a different category name than in the
desktop-effects overlay)
