Cairo-Dock Version: 2.2.0-0beta4
OS: LinuxMint9 (lucid-based)
Kernel: 2.6.32-21
OpenGL: yes
Window Manager: Compiz w/emerald
Desktop: Gnome 2.30.2
Not a bug, but a feature request: I prefer using the digital clock, and the only issue I have with its appearance is that the date and time run together, such as Mon 23 Aug09:37:26 AM. While I would much prefer the date and time be on separate lines, if you could at least inject a space between the two I would appreciate it.
Otherwise I'm enjoying using the dock!
Thanks.

the date and time will automatically adjust depending on the size of the applet
if it's a desklet, you can resize it easily with alt + middle click |

fabounet : the date and time will automatically adjust depending on the size of the applet
if it's a desklet, you can resize it easily with alt + middle click
After further experimentation, I discovered that the date and time only run together on a single line if the clock configuration option "Ratio to apply on text" is at 1.00. If I drop it don even to 0.996, then the date and time are on separate lines; if the ratio is set to 1.00, it runs together on one line. |

Is it possible to have an option to force the date/Time to be on a single line ? (because sometimes it appears on 2 lines at startup) |

what's the size of your desklet (or your icon if you're in dock mode) ? and the font used for the text ?
maybe you could just stretch it a little, it's probably very close to the limit. |

Of course it's close to the limit... But it's strange to have this difference on startup. |

it's because the size of the text can change with the content
to avoid changes during a session, the applet calculates the width once and for all on startup (and on reload) with the current time and date. |

just to argue : it's too bad to not have the correct display (1 line instead of 2) just because it's monday "in french" (lun.) (which is shorter than "mer." ) and 11:11 (which is shorter than "23:32") !!! I don't want to wait 1 hour and a minute just to have "12:12" to be enough large to restart my dock with the right display ! |

yep, but I'd like to keep the automatic layout, so maybe a "force 1 line" parameter, false = current behavior, true = 1 line whatever |
