o The version of Cairo-Dock 2.2.0-0beta2
o GNU/Linux distribution Ubuntu 10.04 Kernel 2.6.32-22-generic
o OpenGL : yes
o Window manager Compiz
o Desktop Environment Gnome 2.30.0
Hi there again!
Cairo is automatically started up with the command cairo-dock -o --keep-above. Sine beta2 however the function doesn't seem to work at start up. Yet if i quit Cairo, run the same command as above, then it works.
The command in my start up applications is correct though.

Maybe because CD is launched before Compiz? Can you try with a delay?sh -c "sleep 15 && cairo-dock -o --keep-above"
BTW this function is optionnal because you can specify this visibility mode from the config panel. |

ok imma try this, though i don't understand what you mean by CD. (?)
This option i used because "always on top" visibility did not work out for me. Besides i want to hide the dock AND keep it above when it appears. (which i couldn't find out how to do till Fab told me to use --keep-above).
Thanks for helping.

what you mean by CD CD = Cairo-Dock
This option i used because "always on top" visibility did not work out for me. Besides i want to hide the dock AND keep it above when it appears. Most of these visibility options have been rewritten for the new 2.2 release.
But with the auto-hide mode, your dock should be above all other windows (except some specials rules with some panels...) |
