Okay so I created the subdock "System" and added Ubuntu Tweak to it. I then went in and edited the subdock name to "System Tools," which went fine, but Ubtuntu Tweak was gone from the subdock. It obviously kept it's association with the subdock "System," and disappeared along with it. However, if I go to move an item to a subdock, "System" still appears; as such, I right clicked on it, to try and edit it...this merely sent my "Video" subdock to the "System" subdock. I cannot recreate the "Video" subdock without it being renamed to "Video-1." Is there a way in which I can view these docks which do not show up in the main dock, and only exist as a database entry to which I can send other dock entries to? I don't mind having to recreate the docks as a punishment for my stupidity, but I would like to be able to have a dock that is simply named "Video" and for the dock "System" not to show up as an optional dock to which future entries can be sent. |

Hello,
Thanks for having reported this bug but what's your version of Cairo-Dock?
What do you have if you restart the dock after having made some changes? |

Matttbe,
It seems that quitting then re-opening the dock caused both the missing "Video" dock and the Ubuntu Tweak to appear as docks of their own...I thought having restarted the computer would have actively restarted Cairo Dock, as obviously restarting anything is always a viable solution. It seems that restarting the computer did not solve the problem, but a manual restart of the program did. In the future, if anyone else has this problem, what happened in my instance after restarting was as follows: prior to restart, the subdock "Video" and the icon for Ubuntu Tweak were both missing; after quitting and restarting Cairo Dock, they appeared as their own docks, on top of each other, and on top of my main dock at the bottom of the screen. I moved both to main dock, at which point the dock went all white. An additional restart took care of this as well. Thanks again. |

It seems that a refresh is missing after having changed the name of a subdock but which version of cairo-dock do you use? |
