I know I can move sub-dock by alt-drag but if sub-dock close and reappear it just appear in old place.
I just want sub-dock and dock a little bit closer.

sub-docks are linked to the icon pointing on them.
you can't place them wherever you want. |

I see different theme have different docks-subdock distance, how can they manage that? |

It's hard to understand because currently this distance should be the minimum.
Can you give us a link to a screenshot? Maybe there is a bug... |

I think it's theme's problem
For example:
In theme "humanity-dock", main dock and sud dock have quiet far distance
In theme "clear",they are very close
So maybe if I change picture in theme "humanity-dock", I can change distance of them. |

distance between main dock and sub-dock is mainly calculated by the size of the labels (including the margin around letters) |
