When I click on an icon, nothing really happens visual to the icon while
I'm waiting the program to appear.

Other docks have animations to show I have clicked on the icon???

Is this possible ???

Hello,

Sorry, we can't help you without any details of your configuration...
What's your CD version ('cairo-dock -v' in a terminal, is it the latest stable release), your distribution (Debian, Ubuntu, ...), your DE (Gnome, KDE,...), your WM (Compiz, Kwin), if you use the OpenGL backend or not? your graphic card?, etc.

but to answer your question....yes the Dock can animate your icons when you launch a program

you can make it bounce, rotate, flash, wobble....

it is done from the configuration panel

As matttbe says give us some info and we will let you know how to do it

1 install the plug-ins
2 activate the plug-ins Animated-icons, and select the animations you want
you may have to switch to "advanced mode" config panel

you have answered some of it but not all.

Also can you clarify what is the problem you have now? you started saying you are lacking animation on your icons but now you say you have a resolution issue....

We can try to help but you need to help us as well

Since I upgraded to 10.04, cario-dock has stopped working now.

"No Plugin were found " see glx-dock.org

It says version 2.1.3-10-lucid when I type cario-dock -v

Jesus, what a nightmare!

Sorry
About the official repository, there was a problem with the restriction. Strange but fixed
About glx-dock repository, I forgot that the size has changed (the first time) and it's fixed too => Can you confirm?

I updated the dock using the synaptic package manager, and this time it updated and the dock appeared!

Thanks - I can now start getting it configured, but at least it's worked now!!....
