Hi,
Just started using cairo dock. It looks good and does (almost) everything I want.
Is it possible for there to be an option to make individual icon's label permanently visible?
That would be useful when you have an icon whose window title is updated dynamically (i.e. number of unread messages, etc.)
At the moment, you have to wave the mouse over the icon to see if its label has changed.
Thanks for the nice program.

this is not possible at the moment (or maybe with a DBus command that triggers an infinite animation on this icon), but it sounds like an applet could be written for this application.
which one is it ? |

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
For example, a pidgin IRC chat window title will include the number of unread messages.
Cheers,

ok I see, I think it's a feature that is very specific to a few applications, and that an applet would fit better than the mere taskbar.
for instance here, a Pidgin applet, like the xchat applet I'm currently writing
with Python, it's probably quite fast to write it, some volunteers here ? |

Hi,
I have a "new feature" idea. It would be nice, if the user could set unhide delay for the main dock, if it is hidden. Becouse sometime, when I'd like to use the bottom scroolbar of a window, and the mouse touches the bottom screen, the main dock will be unhide immediately. If i click so fast at this time, I will open an other application, or change the place of the sortcuts, etc. I think something like as gnome panel. You can set unhide/hide delay (ms) with gconf-editor.
Thanks,
sorry for my english |

Thank you very much for the unhide delay option of the main dock! It's working well.
