I'm sorry to post twice in like 5 minutes but on a completely unrelated problem, the applet ram-meter isn't monitoring my memory. When I click on it, a bubble comes up that says 'data acquisition has failed'. Anything I can try? Thanks

I'm using Debian 5.03 with cairo-dock 2.0.8

This applet no longer exists .

In fact Ram-meter, CPUsage and Nvidia have merge into one applet : System monitor.

You can test our last beta release from our ppa/weekly (try with 'intrepid' for your debian release )
Or you can compile source From BZR

Compiling a more recent version sounds like it would be a good idea, this is the second problem I've had that seems to be related to version. I'll post back if this fixes everything

Didn't fix anything actually I followed the instructions here and everything went find except I didn't find a /usr/share/cairo-dock folder to delete in the beginning. I also deleted ~/.config/cairo-dock just to be safe.

The output of 'cairo-dock -o -l debug' is here, I clicked on both the Shortcuts and the ram-meter that I'm having problems with to produce the most relevant output. Would any of the logs in /var/logs be of use?

I compiled....the same version. I compiled 2.0.8. Wow, I didn't even realize I was compiling the same version.....

Anyway, it's the latest version that's posted on BerliOS (unless I missed something) so that's the one I grabbed.

We are no more on Berlios ... but on BZR

To compile the last version -> http://www.glx-dock.org/ww_page.php?p=From%20BZR&lang=en ... = the "Generic Method"

there is no "ram-meter" anymore.
if you have it in the list, it means you have the wrong version.
