After a system restart, Cairo-Dock appears very small and unclickable in the top left corner of my screen. See a reference image here: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/323623/gnome-cairo-dock-keeps-weird-position-after-complete-reinstall

Cairo-Dock-fallback will display the complete dock, however will Cairo-Dock assume that the "bottom" of the screen is like 300pixel from the top. In other words, the dock is near the middle of the screen.

ALT and mouse drag does not work, CTRL and mouse drag will work, however only for launchers, not for the entire dock. The positioning module does not have any effect at all, to whichever values I set it. Exception: "top" will display the dock on top, "left" on the left; "bottom", again, like 300px from the top, and "right" will make the dock disappear completely.

This has happened to me recently on my desktop PC which I hardly use, after a system update (pacman -Syu). Earlier, on my Linux laptop. And even earlier, on a bootable USB stick after a suspend-to-ram and power outage. Each of them running Arch Linux with Gnome Desktop.

So... how can I have Cairo-Dock in the bottom again?

Thank you very much.
    • The version of Cairo-Dock: 3.4.1
    • Your GNU/Linux distribution: Arch Linux
    • Or you using OpenGL or not: yes, OpenGL
    • Your Window manager: Gnome Shell
    • Your Desktop Environment Gnome
    • How you got the bug and therefore the answer to the question 'How can the bug be reproduced': started computer after a long time; ran updates; restarted.
    • If it's a crash, you can launch Cairo-Dock from a terminal ('cairo-dock') and post the output.
    • Any other details you think could be useful: This has happened to me more than once on different occasions and computers. A complete reinstallation does not help. Restore from backup does also not help. Neither ALT-drag nor CTRL-drag nor positioning in the position module will help.
